Hanuman Ansh has delivered its biggest single-day box office collection on Day 31, earning an estimated Rs 22.75 crore nett in India on Sunday. The Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand-starrer has witnessed an unusual surge during its fifth week in theatres.
According to trade estimates, the film collected Rs 16.50 crore nett on Day 30. Its Day 31 earnings therefore jumped by nearly 38 per cent. The latest figure has taken the film’s India net collection to Rs 122.13 crore, while its gross collection stands at around Rs 144.40 crore.
The film recorded an overall Hindi 2D occupancy of 78.54 per cent on Sunday. Evening shows saw particularly strong turnout, with occupancy crossing 92 per cent.
Hanuman Ansh had a slow start, collecting just Rs 1.08 crore in its opening week. However, its fortunes changed dramatically from the third week, followed by a major surge in the fourth week.
Directed and produced by Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, the film is the first instalment of a planned trilogy. It explores the early life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba against the backdrop of pre-Independence India.
