Passengers travelling through Odisha should check their train schedules before starting their journey, as several train services have been cancelled due to infrastructure work at Baleshwar railway station.
The South Eastern Railway has announced that the cancellations are necessary for yard remodelling work linked to the Narayangarh–Bhadrak third-line project. The work is being carried out in the Kharagpur Division to improve railway operations and increase line capacity.
The Kharagpur–Bhadrak MEMU (68049/68050) and the Bhadrak–Baleshwar MEMU (68051/68052) will remain cancelled from July 29 to August 11, 2026.
The Howrah–Puri Express (12821/12822) has also been cancelled from July 29 to August 9, 2026. In addition, the Howrah–Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Express (12073/12074) will not operate on August 5, 2026.
Railway authorities have advised passengers to verify the latest train status before leaving for the station. Travellers can check updated schedules through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or other official railway enquiry services to avoid inconvenience.
