Bhubaneswar, June 2, 2026: Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL) successfully organised a one-day “AI Capacity Building Workshop” today at the auditorium of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur. Around 60 principals from various DAV schools across Odisha participated in the programme. The workshop was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Manoranjan Puthal, Managing Director of OKCL, and Dr. Keshab Chandra Satapathy, Regional Director of DAV Institutions.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Puthal highlighted OKCL’s continued efforts to empower citizens and government employees across Odisha through digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy initiatives. He elaborated on how AI can simplify daily life, enhance productivity, and foster innovation among students, educators, and the public.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Satapathy encouraged school leaders to leverage AI tools effectively to save time, streamline administrative processes, and improve the overall efficiency of school management. He also emphasized the growing importance of AI in modern education and explained the objectives of the workshop.
The training sessions were conducted by OKCL’s Senior Project Managers, Dr. Ansuman Sar, Mr. Sushanta J. Das, and Mr. Jayesh Mahato. Participants received hands-on training on several professional AI tools, including ChatGPT, Google Flow, Napkin AI, Claude AI, and NotebookLM. The sessions demonstrated how these tools can be used for lesson planning, content development, presentation creation, data analysis, and enhancing student engagement in classrooms. During the programme, Project Consultant Mr. Tadit Parida provided an overview of OKCL and its initiatives, while Senior Manager Mr. Niladri Bihari Ray briefed the participants on the workshop’s objectives and key outcomes. At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Manoranjan Puthal distributed certificates to all participants and presented them with the “Odisha AI Map,” a knowledge resource developed by OKCL.
The workshop was widely appreciated by the participants, who described it as a significant step toward integrating AI into the education sector. They expressed confidence that such initiatives would strengthen the adoption of AI-driven teaching and administrative practices in schools across Odisha. The participants also thanked OKCL for organizing the insightful and timely programme.
