BJD president and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has raised concerns over the alleged examination paper leaks and urged the Centre to hold a detailed discussion on the issue during the upcoming Parliament session.
In a post on X, Naveen said education is the foundation of the country’s progress and the only hope for millions of students seeking a better future. He stressed that a fair and transparent examination system is essential for building trust and ensuring equal opportunities.
He warned that paper leaks damage more than just examinations. According to him, they weaken public faith in the education system and discourage hardworking students by questioning the value of merit.
Naveen called the issue a national concern that deserves top priority in Parliament. He demanded comprehensive reforms to prevent paper leaks, improve assessment systems, and ensure accountability for those responsible.
The former Odisha Chief Minister also appealed to the government to engage in meaningful dialogue with students who have been protesting peacefully. He said listening to young people would strengthen democracy and help restore confidence in the education system.
Reaffirming his party’s support, Naveen said the Biju Janata Dal stands firmly with students and believes their concerns must be addressed through constructive discussions and lasting reforms.
