President Droupadi Murmu honored several distinguished personalities with Padma awards during a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. The event recognized individuals who have made notable contributions in their respective fields.
Among those receiving the Padma Bhushan were veteran actor Mammootty, acclaimed singer Alka Yagnik, renowned oncologist Dr. Dattatreyudu Nori, former tennis star Vijay Amritraj, industrialist S.K.M. Maeilanandhan, and social worker Vellappally Natesan.
The ceremony celebrated achievements across arts, sports, healthcare, business, and public service. It also highlighted the government’s recognition of individuals whose work has positively impacted society.
