Chennai Super Kings have sparked fresh speculation about Hardik Pandya’s possible move to the franchise ahead of IPL 2027 after sharing a mysterious social media video featuring the number 33.
The number matches Hardik’s jersey number, prompting fans to wonder whether the five-time champions are hinting at a potential trade involving the Mumbai Indians captain. However, CSK have not confirmed any deal, and former India spinner R Ashwin also reacted to the video, adding to the buzz surrounding the development.
Hardik’s future has attracted attention following Mumbai Indians’ disappointing 2026 campaign. The team finished ninth in the 10-team tournament, winning just four of their 14 league matches.
Reports have linked CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders with a possible move for the all-rounder. The speculation has intensified ahead of the November 15 player retention deadline.
However, CSK chief executive Kasi Viswanathan had earlier dismissed reports of discussions over a potential transfer. Mumbai Indians also indicated that their post-season review was still underway.
Hardik previously led Gujarat Titans to the IPL title in their debut season in 2022 and guided them to the final in 2023. Mumbai brought him back ahead of the 2024 season and appointed him captain.
