Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil and initiate a series of development projects worth over ₹18,777 crore during his Gujarat visit on June 5. The ambitious package includes major investments in industrial infrastructure, wastewater management, and environmental sustainability, aimed at accelerating economic development and strengthening industrial ecosystems across South Gujarat.

A major component of the package includes eight projects undertaken by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) worth ₹1,063.43 crore. Of these, projects valued at over ₹894 crore are located in Bharuch district, while Valsad district will receive investments worth ₹169.3 crore.

Among the key projects is a ₹474.61-crore offshore and onshore effluent disposal pipeline at the Dahej Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR). The 90 MLD-capacity system is designed to strengthen industrial wastewater management and improve environmental compliance in the Dahej-Saykha region.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate infrastructure projects at the Bulk Drug Park in Jambusar, including roads, stormwater drainage systems, and a central drain. Additional projects include drainage pumping stations, industrial estate infrastructure upgrades, and effluent transmission facilities in Bharuch.

In Valsad’s Sarigam Industrial Estate, upgraded effluent treatment infrastructure and a new deep-sea discharge pipeline system will be launched. Officials say these initiatives will enhance environmental safeguards while supporting sustained industrial expansion across South Gujarat.
