Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik on Sunday extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day.

In a post on X, Chief Minister Majhi conveyed his wishes, expressing hope that the occasion would strengthen the collective resolve to build a Viksit Bharat. He said Republic Day should inspire renewed energy and enthusiasm among citizens to work together for the nation’s progress.

Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo paid tribute to martyrs and freedom fighters, saluting their sacrifices for the unity and security of the country. He extended his best wishes to the people on Republic Day.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida highlighted the pride of India’s democratic system and the significance of the Constitution. She urged citizens to remember their duties along with their rights to strengthen democracy.

Leader of Opposition and former chief minister Naveen Patnaik also extended Republic Day greetings, emphasising that peace, brotherhood and goodwill are the core pillars of democracy. He called for collective efforts to preserve these values and work together towards making Odisha and the country excel.
