The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced its new national office-bearers under party president Nitin Nabin, bringing several prominent leaders back into key organisational roles.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been appointed national treasurer, while former Union minister Smriti Irani has been named a national general secretary. Former BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav returns as a national vice president. Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat and former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb have also been appointed to key positions.

Several senior leaders, including Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Baijayant Panda, Rekha Verma and Tariq Mansoor, have retained their positions as national vice presidents. Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal will continue as general secretaries, while BL Santhosh remains national general secretary (organisation).

Smriti Irani’s appointment marks her first major organisational role since her defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Ram Madhav’s return also signals his renewed involvement in the BJP’s central organisation.

Amit Malviya, who has headed the party’s social media and IT operations, does not figure in the new list. Deepak Mhaskey has been appointed social media convenor.

Nabin said the new team combines experience and energy and expressed confidence that it would strengthen the BJP’s organisation and advance the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance.
