Bhubaneswar | 7th August 2026: In a significant initiative to strengthen AI readiness among industry leaders, Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL) organised a Leadership AI Capacity Building Workshop for representatives of leading Industry Consortiums from across Odisha at its Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior representatives of prominent industry bodies, including Mr. Sanjay Das, President, Balasore Chamber of Industries & Commerce (BCIC); Mr. K. Srihari Patra, Assistant Director, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI); Mr. Kamalakanta Sahoo, Head, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO); along with representatives from the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Federation of Trade & Industry of India (FTII), Hotel & Restaurant Association of Odisha (HRAO) and other leading industry consortiums across the State.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Manoranjan Puthal, Managing Director, Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL), who highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future of industries, enterprises, and leadership. He emphasised that AI has evolved beyond a technology tool to become a strategic driver of innovation, productivity, informed decision-making, and business competitiveness. He encouraged industry leaders to proactively adopt AI-driven approaches to enhance organisational efficiency and prepare their workforce for the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The workshop featured hands-on demonstrations of leading AI tools and practical use cases covering leadership, business operations, workplace productivity, decision-making, and organisational transformation. Participants also deliberated on the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence, highlighting the importance of ethics, governance, and sustainability while integrating emerging technologies into business processes.
The participants appreciated the practical orientation of the workshop and actively engaged in discussions on AI adoption, digital transformation, and collaborative opportunities to strengthen Odisha’s industrial ecosystem. The programme also served as an effective platform for knowledge sharing and fostering stronger partnerships between industry and OKCL for future capacity-building initiatives.
On the occasion, Dr. Manoranjan Puthal, extended his heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished industry leaders for their enthusiastic participation and valuable insights. He also congratulated the OKCL team for their dedicated efforts in successfully conceptualising and organising the programme, stating that such collaborative initiatives will play a pivotal role in accelerating AI adoption and strengthening the partnership between industry and knowledge institutions across Odisha.
Through initiatives such as the Leadership AI Capacity Building Workshop, OKCL continues to strengthen AI awareness and digital competencies among industry, academia, government departments, and institutions, contributing to the vision of Digital India, Viksit Odisha–2036, Viksit Bharat–2047, and the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
