New Delhi: The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is projected to retain power with 326 Lok Sabha seats if elections were held today, according to the latest Mood of the Nation survey.

The projection is 26 seats lower than the 352 seats estimated in the January survey. The BJP is expected to secure 261 seats, compared with 287 projected earlier. Despite the decline, the figure remains higher than the 240 seats the party won in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress, meanwhile, has recorded a notable improvement. It is projected to win 106 seats, up from the earlier estimate of 80. The INDIA bloc is expected to secure 185 seats, compared with 182 in the previous survey.

The NDA’s projected vote share has also slipped to 45.1% from 47% in January. The INDIA bloc is estimated to receive 39.1% of the vote.

The survey covered 25,184 respondents between July 1 and August 25, supplemented by 91,795 interviews conducted through regular tracking over the past six months.
