Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that a depression over south Chhattisgarh and adjacent south interior Odisha is traveling north-northwest at a speed of about 15 kmph.
The system was centred near latitude 20.9°N and longitude 82.4°E, close to north-northwest of Nuapada in Odisha and around 80 km east-southeast of Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
It was also located about 130 km south-southwest of Champa and 140 km south of Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh.
According to the IMD, the depression is probably going to keep heading north-northwest and stay strong for the following twelve hours. Over the next twelve hours, it is anticipated to deteriorate into a clearly defined low-pressure area.
According to the IMD, Doppler Weather Radars in Sambalpur and Raipur are constantly monitoring the weather system.
