Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s decision to spend more time in London was reportedly driven by their desire for privacy and a more normal life for their children.
Dr Shriram Nene, husband of actor Madhuri Dixit, recalled a conversation with Anushka in which the couple discussed the challenges of living under constant public attention in India.
According to Nene, the couple felt that fame often made it difficult to enjoy ordinary moments without being recognised or surrounded by people seeking photographs.
He said Anushka and Virat wanted to raise their children in a more private environment, away from intense public scrutiny.
The couple married in Italy in 2017 and are parents to daughter Vamika and son Akaay. They have been seen in London on several occasions in recent years.
London has reportedly offered the celebrity couple greater privacy and an opportunity to spend quality time with their children away from the constant spotlight they experience in India.
