Bhubaneswar, 17 August 2026: The Rotary Connect 360 Web Application, developed as part of the collaborative initiative between Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL) and Rotary International District 3262, was formally launched on 17 August 2026 at the OKCL Head Office, Bhubaneswar. The launch marked an important milestone in the ongoing Rotary–OKCL collaboration aimed at strengthening digital connectivity, coordination and technology-enabled engagement across Rotary Clubs.
The web application was formally launched by Rtn. Anil Kumar Samal, District Governor, Rotary International District 3262, jointly with Dr. Manoranjan Puthal, Managing Director, Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL). The platform is intended to provide a structured digital interface to facilitate effective coordination, communication and engagement among participating Rotary Clubs.
The inaugural session commenced with context setting by PDG Sibabrata Dash, followed by an address by Dr. Manoranjan Puthal, Managing Director, OKCL, who highlighted the importance of digital transformation and capacity building in strengthening institutional capabilities and enabling technology-driven collaboration.
Addressing the gathering, Rtn. Anil Kumar Samal, District Governor, Rotary International District 3262, spoke on the significance of the initiative and the opportunities it creates for strengthening digital engagement across the Rotary network.
PDG Jayashree Mohanty spoke at length on the potential of Artificial Intelligence to enhance efficiency and productivity, and emphasised how Rotarians can take these learnings beyond their organisations and extend the benefits of AI to rural and grassroots communities. She highlighted the potential for Rotary leaders to play an important role in promoting wider technology adoption and digital empowerment at the community level.
Following the formal launch, an orientation session on the Rotary Connect 360 Web Application was conducted for participating Rotary representatives. The session provided an overview of the application’s key features, functionalities and usage, followed by an interactive discussion and Q&A to facilitate better understanding and adoption of the platform.
The programme also marked the commencement of the AI Capacity-Building component of the Rotary–OKCL initiative. The sessions covered Generative AI and AI-Assisted Productivity Tools, Intelligent Automation and Emerging Business Applications, and practical use cases of AI for organisational efficiency and competitiveness. The programme was designed to provide Rotary Club leadership with practical exposure to emerging technologies and their potential applications in organisational and community-oriented contexts.
The inaugural session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by PP Rtn. Rasananada Rout, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, Rotary leadership, participating representatives and the OKCL team for their presence and contribution towards the successful launch of the initiative.
The Rotary Connect 360 and AI Capacity-Building initiative reflects OKCL’s continued commitment to digital enablement, technology-enabled learning and institutional capacity building. Through its collaboration with Rotary International District 3262, OKCL aims to foster a more connected, digitally enabled and future-ready network, while creating opportunities to take the benefits of emerging technologies from institutional platforms to the wider community.
