Shreyas Iyer has been named India captain for the fourth and fifth ODIs against New Zealand, while Shubman Gill will lead the side in the first three matches of the five-game series.
The tour will begin with five T20Is from October 22 to November 1, followed by ODIs from November 4 to 15. The teams will then play two Tests, scheduled from November 19 to December 1.
India’s ODI squads feature experienced players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, alongside emerging talents such as Nitish Kumar Reddy, Naman Dhir and Gurnoor Brar. Ishan Kishan has been included as a wicketkeeper in both ODI squads.
The squad for the final two ODIs includes Tilak Varma, Auqib Nabi, Kumar Kushagra and Yash Thakur, while Iyer will take over the captaincy.
India have also announced their Test squad, with Akash Deep, Sai Sudharsan, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar returning to the side. Shubman Gill will captain the Test team, with KL Rahul named vice-captain.
The all-format tour will be important for India as they prepare for the 2027 ODI World Cup and compete for valuable points in the World Test Championship cycle.
