Prithvi Shaw is determined to rebuild his cricket career by focusing on his game, family, and personal growth while staying away from unnecessary attention.

The 26-year-old Maharashtra captain recently led his side to a convincing Ranji Trophy victory over Services. He scored 70 runs in the first innings and praised teammate Ankit Bawne for his impressive performance.

Shaw admitted that he has reduced his social media activity and stopped going out frequently to protect his personal space. Instead, he spends his free time watching Netflix and playing PlayStation games.

The young batter has endured difficult years, facing questions over fitness, discipline and consistency. After being dropped by Mumbai and going unsold at the IPL 2025 auction, he has been working to regain his form.

Despite the setbacks, Shaw remains determined to return to the Indian team. He believes consistent performances and a strong work ethic are essential to achieving that goal.

“If that goal were not there, I would not even be playing today,” Shaw said, making it clear that his biggest motivation remains an India comeback.

For now, he is concentrating on cricket, family and improving himself, leaving outside criticism behind.
