Bhubaneswar: A holiday has been declared for 126 schools in five blocks of Bhadrak district tomorrow due to heavy rain, flooding and ongoing restoration work.
The closure will apply to government, aided and private schools in Bhadrak, Tihidi, Dhamnagar, Bhandaripokhari and Chandbali blocks.
Officials said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of students and staff amid continued rainfall and waterlogging in low-lying areas.
The Collector has directed block administrations and school authorities to ensure students do not attend school and remain alert to changing weather and flood conditions.
