More than a dozen Delhi Police personnel arrived at Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke’s residence in Jhandewalan on Friday, ahead of the organisation’s proposed ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ march in central Delhi.

The police visit came hours after Dipke expressed concerns that he could be detained before the march. The protest is linked to the CJP’s allegations of irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process and its demands concerning the Chief Election Commissioner.

Visuals showed Dipke sitting at his residence with the Indian Tricolour draped over his shoulders, while a police officer sat beside him. Several women police personnel were also present.

As of the reported incident, Delhi Police had not issued an official statement confirming whether Dipke had been detained or placed under house arrest.

Dipke had also alleged during a press conference on Thursday night that vehicles without number plates were following him and Intelligence Bureau personnel were monitoring his residence. These assertions had not been independently confirmed.
