The Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office drew attention on social media after sharing a cropped version of the SCO Summit group photograph that excluded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other leaders.
The photograph was taken during the SCO Summit in Bishkek, where leaders of the 10 member countries posed together. In the image shared by the Pakistan PMO, Shehbaz Sharif appeared prominently in the centre, while PM Modi, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and others were missing from the frame.
Soon after, PM Modi shared the complete group photograph, showing all the leaders, including Shehbaz Sharif.
Following criticism online, Sharif later posted the full photograph on his personal social media account. Reports also claimed that Modi was cropped from a video of the SCO leaders’ roundtable shared through an official Pakistan account.
The incident triggered widespread reactions online, with users comparing the cropped image with the original photograph.
During the summit, PM Modi also raised concerns over terrorism and called for united global action against countries supporting terrorist activities.
