Bhubaneswar: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Odisha on Tuesday for a one-day tour, with a key programme planned at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) facility in Sunabeda, Koraput district.
During his visit, Singh is expected to inspect the defence production unit and review its ongoing activities. He will also attend a programme at the HAL facility and hold discussions with senior officials of the company and defence sector officers.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is also scheduled to be present during the visit.
The Defence Minister’s tour assumes significance for the HAL unit, particularly in the context of defence production and issues related to its operations.
During the programme, Singh is expected to receive updates on activities at the facility and interact with officials involved in defence manufacturing.
After completing his Odisha visit, the Defence Minister is scheduled to return to New Delhi in the afternoon via Raipur.
